What is this elusive thing we call luck? Can there really be such a thing or is it simply a case of being in the right place at the right time or maybe even a series of coincidences? Is it merely the result of various risks taken, of the decisions and choices we've made, of learning from our mistakes and being prepared for what lies ahead? Suppose, for a moment, that there was no such word as 'luck' but instead a world filled with opportunities for all of us - if only we were bright enough to recognise them when they arise, then make the right decisions, and take the correct action. Then luck comes within grasp of us all, no matter how unlucky we may have felt before.Luck becomes less of a mystical, magical phenomenon and instead becomes the way in which others percieve the results of our actions and achievements. For, in truth, there is nothing without toil and no winning without taking part. We are limiting our vision of luck if we think of it as being merely a big lottery win or coming first. Good luck is within our reach, if only we take time to read the signs along the path.
