The town of Middleton is under siege. Profit-hungry developers are moving in for the kill, determined to bamboozle the townspeople into submission and to see the local football ground turned into luxury flats. But one man is about to throw a jammy spanner in the works...Local baker Bill Baxter vents his frustration at the developers' plans by deliberately neglecting to put jam in a batch of doughnuts.
