The book comprises an introduction by Brantley and Perkinson; ten essays by scholars trained in the history of medieval art and/or medieval English literature, including Brantley and Perkinson; and an afterword by Paul Binski.

About Elizabeth Cover Teviotdale (Assistant Director of the Medieval Institute, Western Michigan University)

Elizabeth C. Teviotdale is Assistant Director of the Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University and author of The Stammheim Missal. Jessica Brantley is Professor of English at Yale University and author of Reading in the Wilderness: Private Reading and Public Performance in Late Medieval England.
