Strategies for Sustainability: Asia by International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources
This is a regional review of multi-sectoral strategies for sustainability at the national, provincial and local levels, complementing the volume on "Strategies for National Sustainable Development". It summarizes the status of strategies in Asia, and reviews and analyzes case studies to provide an analytical history and status report on each strategy. The book has been prepared with the assistance of the World Bank, UNDP, UNSO, IIED and WRI. Produced by IUCN ad its partners, this series is designed to help countries and communities to implement Agenda 21, the action programme of the Earth Summit. The series includes handbooks on national strategies, local strategies, biodiversity action plans, involving indigenous peoples, and integrating population and resource use planning, with regular companion volumes of case studies.
