About Jane Nicol

Jane Nicol is a Registered General Nurse and Lecturer in the School of Nursing at the University of Birmingham. During her career she has worked across a range of clinical settings in both primary and secondary care, enabling her to develop a broad knowledge and skill base. She currently teaches pre-registration nursing students at the University of Birmingham. Jane's specialist areas of teaching are the care and management of people living with long term conditions and palliative and end-of-life care. She is a published author in both these areas. Jane's contribution to student learning has been recognised nationally, she has been shortlisted for both Nursing Times and Student Nursing Times Awards.
