This book aims to teach the basic skills and their practice and usage in many forms. Covering the whole field of lettering, calligraphy and illumination, this book ranges from the equipment required, constructional techniques, visual planning and removing mistakes to the intelligent use of colour. It also gives general hints on transferring or enlarging artwork, determining margins and mounting a finished piece of work. The book is produced entirely from the hand-lettered page and illustrated throughout.
