Kathryn Erskine was a lawyer for fifteen years before turning to her first love; writing. Mockingbird won the prestigious American National Book Award in 2010. Born in the Netherlands, Kathryn has lived all over the world including Israel, South Africa, Scotland and Canada. Kathryn now lives in Virginia, USA, with her family.
