About Kevin Lalor

Kevin Lalor, PhD is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Social Sciences at Dublin Institute of Technology, Mountjoy Square. He is deputy editor of the Irish Journal of Applied Social Studies, and Chair of the Board of Directors of Ruhama (Dublin NGO working for women involved in prostitution). Kevin is the DIT representative to IASCE (Irish Association of Social Care Educators).

Aine de Roiste, PhD is a Senior Lecturer in Social Care, Cork Institute of Technology. She is a registered psychologist of the Psychological Society of Ireland and a member of IASCE (Irish Association of Social Care Educators). She recently undertook commissioned research for the Office of the Minister for Children on young people's recreation and leisure.

Maurice Devlin, PhD is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Social Studies at the National University of Ireland Maynooth. He is a member of the National Youth Work Advisory Committee and joint chair of the North-South Education and Training Standards Committee (NSETS), the all-Ireland body for the professional endorsement of youth work training. He is chair of the editorial board of the new journal Youth Studies Ireland.
