Marvin A. Sweeney is Professor of Religion at the Claremont School of Theology. He is the author of nine volumes and numerous studies, including 1 and 2 Kings: A Commentary (2007) and Form and Intertextuality in Prophetic and Apocalyptic Literature (2005). He is the Editor of Hebrew Studies, the founding editor of the Review of Biblical Literature, co-editor of the Forms of the Old Testament Literature commentary series, Mitarbeiter for the De Gruyter International Encyclopedia of the Bible, and CEO of the Ancient Biblical Manuscript Center for Preservation and Research. Michele Renee Salzman is Professor of History at the University of California at Riverside. She is the author of three books and numerous articles, including On Roman Time: The Codex-Calendar of 354 and the Rhythms of Urban Life in Late Antiquity (1990), The Making of a Christian Aristocracy (2002); and (with Michael Roberts) The First Book of Symmachus' Letters, a translation, introduction, and commentary, (2011). She is on the editorial Board of the American Journal of Archaeology and on the Executive Committee of the American Academy in Rome.
