Introduction to International Development Reviews

There simply are no other textbooks worth using! I can't think of any that cover development studies so thoroughly. In my mind, the book stands out partly for its breadth and clear organization of that range of material, and also in being thoroughly rooted in the tradition of critical development studies, but without being polemical and while also giving adequate and respectful space to more mainstream approaches and ideas. * Simon Granovsky-Larsen, University of Regina *
I think the book does a great job of piquing the interests of students who maybe are only testing the waters of international development as well as those students already ready for relatively advanced topics. * Robert Aucoin, Queen's University *
This is a well-structured text with four key parts that are essential to understanding the multidisciplinary field of development studies: theory, stakeholders, issues and practice. * Jennifer Hsu, University of Nottingham *
