Inclusive Education at the Crossroads Summary

Inclusive Education at the Crossroads: Exploring Effective Special Needs Provision in Global Contexts by Philippa Gordon-Gould

* It is a hot topic in education today, especially since education has been more in the public eye due to the lockdowns of Covid-19.
* Of great concern to parents whose children with SEND they feel are not being provided with appropriate support and education.
* Will appeal to school, Local Authority and Academy Trust leaders whose budgets are being stretched by the increase in demand for funding of SEND provision.
* It is of great concern to National governments who are under pressure to take stock of SEND provision and consider what would be the best way forward.
* Ideal for teachers who are keen to see a clear way forward through the inclusion versus special education controversy.
