MARQUIS GOODY TWO SHOES by Ronald Searle
In this collection of drawings, Ronald Searle has imagined just what would happen when the paths of two famous characters cross momentarily. The encounters featured include Kafka meeting Lewis Carroll, Babar meeting Hannibal, Mishima meeting Van Gogh, Issac Newton being felled by the Big Apple, and the Frog Prince being wooed by Brillat-Saverin. Many of these drawings were originally published in the New Yorker magazine.
