The Rowan/Brother Designer Machine Knitting Book by Stephen Sheard
This is a collection of 25 patterns for coats, jackets, seaters and cardigans created for standard guage knitting machines, mainly with a 24 stitch punchcard facility and using a ribbing attachment, but many of them could be knitted using just a single bed knitting machine and working on alternative mock ribbing. They are created by top British designers - Sarah Dallas, Jamie and Jessi Seaton, Carrie White and Christopher Fischer. The patterns are given in clear, easy to follow instructions, with row by row machine setting details and colour guide for the Fair Isle and stitch pattern sequences. Measurement diagrams are also included as a guide to the size and shape of the knitted pieces. The author also wrote "Rowan's Summer and Winter Knitting".
