This book sets out to provide sufficient coverage of all openings, explaining the basic strategy of each variation, with the intention that a few hours' study of favourite lines will enable the reader to avoid these pitfalls in future. This updated edition uses the now universal algebraic notation. The authors are both journalists experienced at writing for the average player.
