Approximately 80 full-page plates are accompanied by an illustrated biographical essay and a complete catalogue of her work in the National Portrait Gallery. Terence Pepper is at the National Portrait Gallery Archive and is author of many works on 20th-century photography including "The Man Who Shot Garbo" and "Mapplethorpe Portraits".
