There are full descriptions of the trees' shape, leaves, seeds and flowers and whether the trees were native to Britain or have been introduced. It tells children how to identify each tree by looking at the shape of its crown, or by studying its leaves, bark, flowers or cones. Activities at the end show how easy it is to plant a tree yourself, and how to help look after the trees around you.
