Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Slight gutter cracking. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners spine ends are crushed and rubbed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Some water staining to front and rear. Some bubbling and creasing to front; pale stains to rear. Moderate forward lean. Gilt is bright.
