Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Upper text block edge gilt. Rough cut pages. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Gutters cracked with exposed netting. An early page, not bearing text, has been torn out. Previous owner's inscription to reverse of frontispiece. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Pen mark to rear pastedown. Boards have heavy edge wear, with bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed. Joints worn too with splits starting. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Spine is slightly sunned. Gilt is bright.
