Summary
When Gwen meets Charlie Roberts, she can't take her mind off him, but she knows her mother, Sarah, will never approve. The two meet in secret and when war breaks out, it seems like everything is conspiring to keep them apart. When the war is at last over, Gwen's final happiness is dearly bought.
