This revised edition has been written to meet the requirements of the City and Guilds 7307 Further and Adult Education Certificate in Education (FE). It should be useful to all who teach in the post-school sector of education and training. A range of teaching strategies is explored with the emphasis placed on the effective use of student-centred activities. At the start of each chapter, a list of competences and associated performance criteria are outlined and, within the text, suggestions are made for the collection of evidence which might be used to show competence. Such evidence could be uselful as the basis of a portfolio to be used either on a course of teacher training or for the accreditation of prior learning and experience.
