The Big Issue, the news magazine for the homeless, was born in September 1991. It has also helped the homeless help themselves by giving them a means to interact, by giving them a voice. Now, to mark the second anniversary of its establishment, this book includes images, words and poems by the homeless. Their voices, their stories, their vision from the streets in cities and towns around the country are included to provide tributes to the passion, courage and talent of people who have been marginalized and silenced by society.
