Deke Summers is a private investigator who's been imprisoned inside a cartoon character for the past four and half years. Ryne feels that he's the key to defeating her mentor, but when she rescues him from his spell, she learns that his memory is faulty and that he has no idea who Anise is. Together, they must uncover what the connection is between Deke and her mentor, and the more time Ryne spends with deke, the more she realizes that she wants him as more than just an allay in her search...
