Raymond Seitz was US ambassador to Britain, 1991-4. Unlike most of his predecessors he didn't return home, but decided to stay, with his wife Caroline and their dogs. "Over Here" (the book has the same title as the radio series) is about the transatlantic relationship, at every level.
