Music: Key Stage 1 by Aelwyn Pugh
This is a practical resource for teachers, whatever their experience in music, which has been written to help fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum. It may be used flexibly, either as an ideas bank or as a core resource for the whole subject, and can also be helpful in the production of a whole-school music policy. Corresponding copymasters and a cassette are also available. The activities, which form the core of the book, provide a bank of structured ideas for music work, starting with very first activities for use with reception children and progressing to more advance work for older infants. Each activity helps to develop concepts or skills and provides a complete lesson with defined objectives and instructions on how to carry it out.
