Ahmed Nadeem Qasimi was one of the first few modern Urdu writers whose talents spilled over into his poetry as well. His use of abstract sunjects as well as his command over the language was an art known only to the modern breed of writers. Daud Kamal himself is considered one of the first Pakistani poets who wrote in English and a pioneer in translating Urdu poetry into English.
