In their ongoing search for the Flame Champion, Geddoe and his companions come to the village of bug users. Aila befriends a girl who wants to hear about the Grasslands, as this village used to belong to the Grasslands. While Aila is visiting her new friend, Geddoe encounters a cat who, to his surprise, speaks to him, telling him not to get involved any further.
