When Alexis Gauthier started his cooking apprenticeship, he was told that he should know every classic dish that made up French gastronomy, and in the process became just another recipe follower. About Alexis Gauthier

Alexis Gauthier, a French chef who has made his home in Britain, gained his first Michelin-star at Roussillon in London for his unique and rather un-French emphasis on the freshest vegetables and salads. Gauthier launched his new restaurant Gauthier Soho at the former Lindsay House with Roberto della Pietra, the previous head sommelier at Roussillon in 2009. Gauthier has appeared regularly on MasterChef and Saturday Kitchen and hosted the final of the 2012 Celebrity Masterchef.
