Nobody could tell Sam much about the big house on the hill, but when Sally the mare spoke of it, he decided he must pay a visit himself. All went well until Sam came to the kitchen door and found the cook busy fixing her Christmas pudding. It sounded so grand, he felt he had to take a closer look.
