American National Security Reviews

The necessity of continually reappraising strategy in shifting international and domestic environments makes it essential that policymakers and the attentive public alike have a clear understanding of the fundamental policy and process challenges that confront the nation. The authors of this sixth edition have provided a timely and valuable contribution toward gaining that understanding. - James Schlesinger, former Secretary of Defense, from the foreword
