Post-modern Triumphs in London by Andreas Papadakis
Dividing the general application of the term post-modern into three sections - urbane, canonic and carnivalesque buildings - the author takes a critical look at the proliferation of new designs in London. The new National Gallery extension, the Sainsbury Wing is featured with an interview with architect Robert Venturi, winner of the 1991 Pritzker Architecture Prize, and David Vaughan. Also included in this issue is the recent work of James Stirling, Jeremy Dixon, Terry Farrell, CZWG, John Melvin, Nigel Coates, Sheppard Robson, Tchaik Chassay, Ian Pollard and Chapman Taylor amongst many others. All the work serves to show the diversity of the Post-Modern movement existing today.
