With its colourful front cover design, this book will catch the eye. This book takes you through 14 easy projects using fusible techniques. You use easy-to-cut outline designs and there is no piecing. Learn how to finish raw edges and add embellishments as well as create your own designs. The projects fall into three categories, so this book is suitable for any skill level. The book is split into seven chapters: Cutting Techniques; Overview; Level 1; Level 2; Level 3; Quilt Design and Basics. Raw edge applique is used to make a wholecloth. The outlines are then cut from fusible fabric and placed onto the design. A paper pattern is included. This is a very interesting method of quilt construction that has endless possibilities.

About Anna Faustino

Anna was born in Saint Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Russia. Anna found her talent at a very young age. When she was only eight years old, she started to paint watercolor copies of classic reproductions. Her paintings were naive, but colorful. She liked to paint swans in the lake and make furniture for her dolls from paper and scraps of fabric, gluing them together. After high school, she wanted to be either a teacher or a doctor, but the urge to create remained strong.

Upon graduating from college, she worked for a couple of years as a stage and costumes decorator at the Kirov Theater of Opera and Ballet, and as a freelancer, knitting and designing sweaters. Anna loves to work with textiles, threads, and other fiber media. She has a passion for creating art quilts.

In 1995, she traveled to the United States to visit her sister and was lucky enough to obtain a green card and the absolute freedom and and subsequent inspiration that come with it.
