First released in 2004, this book quickly became the must-have/go-to reference in neuroradiology. This second edition, similar in format with increased authoritative author input and updated content, is the new most accurate, up-to-date neuroradiology reference. The most notable change is the addition of 1-2 pages of text at the beginning of the chapters.
Through the addition of thousands of new images, many more signature color graphics, and over 100 new diagnoses, this book aims to be the most accurate, up-to-date, user-friendly neuroradiology reference. Although at times subtle, the field sees constant change and the updated content and increased authoritative author input is what will keep this book and series in the hands of radiologists for years to come.
While not geared toward students as a guided text, this unique pathology-based, user-friendly reference is appropriate for most medical readers from students to subspecialists.
The additional text at the beginning of each chapter adds quite a bit of new information. This, in combination with the updated content and input from additional experts, makes this quite a valuable, worthwhile book. However, I was sorry to lose the differential diagnosis case examples.
Not unlike its predecessor, this book covers the gamut of brain neuroradiology topics with excellent graphics and case examples highlighting. This edition has maintained the user-friendly glossary and chapter/page numbering system. The only possible negative is the absence of the individual differential case.-Doody's Book Review Service (Weighted Numerical Score: 91, 4 Stars)
