Books by Brian Elliot

Brian Elliott is a former teacher and college manager with a special interest in Barnsley and South Yorkshire history. In 1992 he was awarded an M.Phil by the University of Sheffield for his work on Barnsley as a historic market town. He has on BBC Radio Sheffield on many occasions as a local history expert and has made contributions to Radio 4, BBC, and ITV local news programs, especially on his specialist subject of coalmining history. In recent years he has been a volunteer member of the Experience Barnsley Steering Committee aimed at establishing an innovatory museum and archive center in Barnsley's most iconic public building: the art deco Town Hall.
