Dan Brown was born in New Hampshire in 1964, and after reading The Doomsday Conspiracy in the early nineties began working on his first Robert Langdon thriller, The Digital Fortress which would lead to his most successful novel series including The Da Vinci Code. There would be two unsuccessful novels in-between in Deception Point and Angels & Demons, with The Da Vinci Code propelling him into a household name and turning the series into a bestselling collection.
