Books by Fiona MacDonald
After graduating from Newnham College, Cambridge, with a BA in history, Fiona MacDonald carried out postgraduate research at the University of East Anglia, where she later lectured in Medieval Social and Economic History. Her work soon expanded to giving talks in schools and appearing on radio and television, and before long she had turned her talents to writing. She has now written over 150 children's books, mostly non-fiction, for many major publishers including Oxford University Press, Dorling Kindersley, Scholastic, Simon and Schuster and HarperCollins, and in 1997 won the Times Educational Suppliment Children's Information Book of the Year Prize for Keeping Clean -- a Very Pecualiar History.
