More on James Patterson
Patterson came from humble beginnings, the child of working-class parents in the state of New York in the 1940s. Through his own career, he came to realise the value of books and education – and has spent many years and much of the wealth his talents have brought him donating to schools, universities, bookstores, and ways to get more people reading.
Like many popular authors, Steel is not known for making ostentatious public appearances – making interviews and dialogues with her in the public eye a rare treat for her fans. She’s a traditionalist in many ways – she still writes all of her novels by typewriter, and they’re still adored by thousands of fans worldwide.
Nowadays, Patterson is a writer who enjoys thousands, if not millions of fans around the world. He’s also a keen collaborator, having co-authored works with writers such as Mark Sullivan, Candice Fox, and even the former United States President, Bill Clinton.
“Better readers are better thinkers.”
