Paula Metcalf is a hugely talented picture book creator who was Highly Commended in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration in 2003. Paula was previously Illustrator-in-Residence at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Buckinghamshire, and now runs popular workshops in schools. Her books for Macmillan include My Mummy, Rabbits Don't Lay Eggs and Charlie Crow in the Snow.
Lucy Barnard grew up in a very artistic family and knew from an early age that she wanted to work in illustration. After graduating from the University of Plymouth with an illustration degree, Lucy worked in publishing for a time, before becoming a freelance illustrator and realizing her ambition of working on children's books.
