Scoular Anderson studied graphic design at Glasgow School of Art, and then moved to London to work as an illustrator. He lives in a house in Argyll, Scotland, which overlooks the Firth of Clyde.
Scoular likes writing books which are funny or make the reader learn something. He has written and illustrated about 80 books, including the bestselling My First Joke Book (Young Corgi) and the How to be a... history series (HarperCollins). He has also illustrated a further 100 books for other authors.
