Noel Brehony is Chairman of Menas Associates, a member of the British Egyptian Society Committee and of the advisory board of the London Middle East Institute at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and past President of the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES), 2000-6.Ayman El-Desouky is Lecturer in Arabic and Comparative Literature at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
