About Barry Davies
The author served in the SAS for 18 years and has written 12 books on the Regiment, including The SAS Encyclopaedia and The Illustrated History of the SAS, both of which made use of his collection of several thousand unpublished SAS photographs. He is recognized as an expert on anti-terrorist techniques and lectures on the subject to armed forces throughout the world. He has also completed several videos on specialist military techniques and has appeared in numerous television interviews in relation to his work. He holds the BEM for his direct intervention in the Mogadishu Hijack in 1977.
