About Barry Vera

Barry Vera trained as a chef in France. He arrived in Australia in May 2001 from the UK, where he had worked for some of the world's best restaurants and chefs such as the Waldorf, Marco Pierre White, Les Saveurs, Conran and Cantina Del Ponte. He has since been listed as one of the icons of Australian food by Vogue Entertaining and Travel. His first restaurant, Vera Restaurant Cafe & Bar, in Brighton, Melbourne, opened on Valentine's Day 2006 to great reviews, and has acquired a loyal following. He also has a TV series, Feast, through SBS and Foxtel.
