About Beverly Wildung Harrison

Beverly Wildung Harrison is Caroline Williams Beaird Professor Emeritus of Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, where she taught for thirty-four years. She was the first woman President of The North American Society of Christian Ethics and served on the Board of the American Academy of Religion. She is the author or coauthor of a number of books, including Our Right to Choose: Toward a New Ethic of Abortion and Making the Connections: Essays In Feminist Social Ethics. Elizabeth M. Bounds is Associate Professor of Christian Ethics and Director of Faith and the City at Candler Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. She is author of Coming Together/Coming Apart: Religion, Modernity, and Community and coeditor of Welfare Policy: Feminist Critiques. Pamela K. Brubaker is Professor of Religion at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. She has published several articles and three books on various topics in Christian ethics and women's religious history. Marilyn J. Legge is Associate Professor of Christian Ethics at Emmanuel College, Victoria University, University of Toronto in Canada. She has chaired the United Church of Canada's Theology and Faith Committee, is a Past President of the Canadian Theological Society, and is a Contributing Editor to The Ecumenist: A journal of Theology, Culture and Society. Rebecca Todd Peters is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and is currently serving as a member of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches. She is the author of the award-winning In Search of the Good Life: The Ethics of Globalization and coeditor of Justice in a Global Economy: Strategies for Home, Community and World.
