This training handbook is designed for teams of health and welfare practitioners who work with families with dependent children: health visitors, community nurses, social workers, nursery workers, community workers and other community based workers from the statutory and voluntary sectors. It is written for fieldworkers who want to place poverty on the central agenda of fieldwork practice by examining the issue, and what it means for collective and individual practice.
