About Brian K. Walsh (Director, Respiratory Therapy Program, Professor of Health Sciences, Liberty University)

Dr. Walsh began his health career in emergency medical services and respiratory therapy and quickly developed an interest and passion for research and education. Dr. Walsh's research career began by focusing on areas within respiratory care that lacked evidence to guide practice. This pursuit and passion led to several discoveries within each of those areas and the development of several nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines. Before coming to Liberty University to be the founding Director of the Respiratory Therapy Program, Dr. Walsh was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Walsh currently serves as the Director of Respiratory Therapy Program at the Liberty University School of Health Sciences and as a professor of Health Sciences.
