Developing Online Learning Environments in Nursing Education by Carol A. O'Neil
This book is the much-needed new edition of "Developing Online Courses: Best Practices for Nurse Educators" (Springer Publishing, 2004). It provides practical, how-to guidelines for setting up online learning courses. It describes how best to provide the feeling of "community" in online interactions, how to maximize the presentation of content and promote learning, and how to evaluate student work received from online assignments and testing. This new edition will include extensive revision of the older book and a host of new material. The new edition expands the first edition's focus on students as learners to include clinical medical education and training; service training; consumer education; and, blended learning (the integration of traditional classroom with online content delivery and the use of online materials in the classroom).
