CARSTEN KRIEGER is a photographer, author and environmentalist based on the west coast of Ireland. He has published numerous books on Ireland's landscape, nature and heritage including Ireland's Coast, The River Shannon and the popular Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Carsten is also working as project manager for the Crossbill Guides Foundation, is an AnTaisce Climate Ambassador and a Green Sod Ireland Biodiversity Ambassador. Birds are the main theme but he also depicts plants, animals and landscapes and other nature themes stimulated by travels in Europe, Africa and America. His works include commissions for public art work for Local Authorities and communities. His many poster commissions include work for the Irish Peatland Conservation Council, Parks and Wildlife Service and BirdWatch Ireland.
