Herman The Professor Gaylord, an elderly homeless man is found with the dead body of a fellow tramp. The police jump to the worst conclusions - robbery and murder. An apparently simple case takes a bizarre turn when an LA lawyer arrives claiming to be the victim s son, but offering to pay for Gaylord s defence. Two separate autopsies bring in conflicting results about his health prior to death.
