The entire text of the Royal Flying Corps weekly communiques from January 1917 until March 1918 is presented in this book. The communiques were produced for internal consumption in the air arm and provided comprehensive coverage of observation and bombing sorties, damage inflicted and incurred in clashes with the enemy, intelligence gathered, and air crew are frequently mentioned by name. Each communique is accompanied by explanatory notes and photographs of the types of aircraft employed and some of the pilots who flew them.
