After that, it will show you how to move on to working with other materials such as acrylic and watercolour paints.Author Christian Furr is an artist with a wealth of experience in helping the artistically reticent to realise that they too can create wonderful drawings and paintings if they are just shown how! The resident artist on Channel 4's Richard and Judy show, he helps celebrities on the show to realise their artistic potential by showing them how easy it is to paint.Packed full of useful advice and tips, The Lost Art will show you all the tricks of the past that artists have used to make their pictures work, how to create a 'likeness', ideas to make simple but beautiful paintings, hints to make your pictures look good and much, much more. About Christian Furr

Christian Furr is the youngest artist to have officially painted Queen Elizabeth II when, at the age of 28, he was chosen by the Queen from a shortlist of artists. His most recent official portraits include Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Conner. Christian was one of the judges on ITV's A Brush with Fame and he is the 'Celebrity Art Club' resident artist on Channel 4's Richard and Judy show. It was on this show that he held the celebrity portrait master class and also previewed the recent Whistler/ Turner/ Monet show at the Tate Gallery. Channel 4 also commissioned him to paint Johnny Vaughan and Liza Tarbuck for Millenium Night's The Biggest Breakfast Ever. In June 2004, Christian collected an Association of Colleges Gold Award at the House of Commons - given to further education alumni who have gone on to achieve excellence in their chosen field.
