The Enchanted Places by Christopher Milne
This is an account of the boyhood of Christopher Milne, the model for A.A. Milne's Christopher Robin, the child who never grows old, and the burden that it sometimes put on him as he grew older and tried to escape from the image of his father's creation. At the same time it is an evocation of a happy childhood spent in London and Sussex in the '20s and '30s, painting a portrait of A.A. Milne and describing the background to the children's poems and stories that are now world-famous.
